NOTICE TO LESSEES AND OPERATORS OF FEDERAL
OIL AND GAS LEASES
ON THE OUTER CONTINENTAL SHELF
Data and Information to be Made Available to the Public
This Notice to Lessees and Operators (NTL) is issued pursuant to 30 CFR 250.103. MMS protects data and information submitted under 30 CFR Part 250 as described in 30 CFR 250.196. This NTL is issued to provide information on what data and information will be made available to the public without the consent of the lessee/operator and under what circumstances and in what time period. A final rule was published on December 28, 1999 (64 FR 72775) updating the data release tables. In 2002 some of the forms were renewed and item numbers were changed on the forms. This NTL provides the correct item numbers on the updated forms and the corresponding timing of release.
MMS will disclose data and information you submit on MMS forms according to the following table:

The data and information in items 10 through 15 will be released 2 years after the required submittal date; when the well goes on production; or if the lease is relinquished, expired, or terminated, whichever is earlier. |

The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) approved the information collection requirements and have assigned OMB control number 1010-0114. This NTL does not impose any information collection requirements subject to the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995.
